I am experiencing very frequent crashing, waiting to respond etc problems in Reaper. Win 10 64 Bit btw. Checking Windows Event Viewer it seems to be very often Nerve.dll but also more frequently other .dlls as well. Changing patches or any random event can sometimes trigger problems. I've tried re-installing Reaper and all the relevant plug ins but nothing helps. I'm beginning to think it's a Reaper issue not the plug-ins. I came over from Ableton for Reaper's features but the instability of this set up is causing real problems. I have 64 GB of RAM so it's not that. If anyone has any ideas where to start it would be most appreciated. I'm considering moving to Pro-Tools but I really don't want to. Thanks.

Over the years of using Reaper I think all of my crashes have been due to either a third part plugin or crappy audio driver. I would start by not using any suspected plugins. Find some alternatives to them that don't cause problems.

Thanks. I've spent a lot of money on various plug-ins so I'd rather not abandon them. But I take your point. At least as a way of proving which ones are at fault.
