Reaper freezing tracks. Help...!!!!

Hi, I'm Fairly new to recording. I have been recording my own music for a while now but this is the first time I am recording my band. SO here's the thing, I use studio drummer running through Kontakt 5 running through Reaper.The track is almost complete and now I need to record some synth parts into it and my laptop just gives up when I run all the plugins and vsts and try to record at the same time. So I tried freezing the midi drum track,when I choose "freeze track to stereo and mute original", all I hear is the kick. I think when I freeze the track I should be able to hear the whole kit with all the processing right? I'm not sure what I did wrong here. And I have multichannel output set-up for studio drummer in reaper.(If that helps) I really need some advice here, any kind of help is appreciated.

Use "Freeze tracks to multichannel" instead, it will keep the audio sent to all channels instead of just 1/2 (stereo).

I guess if I select freeze into multichannel it will create separate stem tracks for each track. Is there a way I can freeze everything into one single stem track without changing my routing? If not then if I select the multichannel freezing option how do I unfreeze the tracks after I'm done? If I just right click on the midi track and select the unfreeze option it does not work :-(

Freezing to multichannel renders the track to a multichannel file so that instead of using the VST to generate the audio on the fly, REAPER will read from that file. Routing is preserved and the VSTs will be reinserted in the track's chain when unfreezing. Are you using the "Freeze" or "Render to stem and mute originals" actions? Unfreezing is only available for "Freeze ..." actions.

Got it! Thanks a lot... I have one more question , sometimes while unfreezing I get an error ''can't find studio Drummer library " .Most of the times it works but yeah sometimes I'm getting this error.

If it only happen sometimes, on the same track (is it?), it sounds like a bug... If you can somewhat reliably reproduce the error on a fresh project, you could report your findings in the Bug Reports forum. ;) Unfreezing tracks using Kontakt libraries works every time for me.
