Reaper for OS X 10.7.4 and Kontakt 5

Hello, I am using Reaper OS X 32 bit. When I create a new project and load anything from Kontakt 5, like a piano or organ, everything works fine. The Kontakt 5 signal flows through and I can record through my keyboard controller. However, after I save and close the program I have an issue. When I reopen Reaper and the saved project, the signal from Kontakt 5 does not seem to get picked up by reaper. The meters don't show and activity and I dont get any sound to the controller. I have to restart the computer and open up Reaper again before Kontakt 5 works again! What a hassle. Has this happened to anyone else? Please advise. Thanks, Maestro99 (you can call me Dave)

Solved problem 

Hello Christopher, You question helped me figure out the problem. I did not get a signal because I turned on my keyboard controller AFTER I opened Reaper and the project. I need to have the controller turned on before I open up Reaper so that I sees it. thanks for the help. Dave
