Aha! I got a 1 2 1, which equates to faulty maf sensor. I took it out, and looked at it! All seems in place, a tiny wire like a light bulb filament. Cleaned the contacts, same fault code I guess they're about a million pounds from Volvo are they? Mike
After you cleaned and replaced the MAF, did you reset the fault codes? Hold button for 5+ seconds, when LED illuminates, press and hold for 5+ seconds again.
No I didn't, but I have now. I got a 1 1 1, and an idle speed of about 800, oh joy. I know you're probably a bloke and all, but I could kiss you. Cheers, hurrah, etc Mike
I have a 1993 940 GLE Turbo with B200FT motor. I have had fast idle problems for several months, and I have tried various remedial actions, including replacing idle air control valve. Nothing made any difference. It is still racing away at 1500 rpm whenever it feels like it. How can I reset the fault codes on the Air Flow Sensor? You said "Hold button for 5+ seconds, when LED illuminates, press and hold for 5+ seconds again". Please tell me - which button is this? Mike Walker
